About Cheddarmelon

Ok, let’s get the strange name out of the way first.  It’s not actually all that meaningful a handle.  I’m a Green Bay Packer fan, and it’s impossible to get an email account, log in, blog, or anything else using the name Cheesehead, which is the classic nickname for a Packer fan.  So in a literary twist, I change Cheese to Cheddar, and Head to Melon, and presto.  I haven’t had a single rejection when trying to sign up for anything online because someone else has used the name… and in the internet age, finding a truly unique moniker is a miracle unto itself.

This blog may be a difficult read for some people.  This is mostly because It has no real rhyme, reason, direction or purpose.  Well, it has purpose… to allow me to write.  But the topics will be varied, and in no particular order or fashion.  It will be my expression at it’s base level.  If I want to write about something, I’ll do it.  People looking for a strictly topical blog should look elsewhere, as I don’t have a lot to say about single topics, but I have tons to say about a lot of topics.

I hesitate to give my “vitals” because I wonder if it will poison the writing.  Meaning, if by being  6’4″ 195 pounds, black, with a six pack will lead you to certain assumptions about me, and put an different spin on the understanding of the posts than intended.  That being said, I’m not over 6 feet, weigh more than 195 pounds (and hence, have no six pack) and I am not black either.

But the basics, should you care to know, is that I’m in my middling thirties, male, twice married (old one bad, current one great) and damned opinionated.

Anything else, I suppose you can learn by reading along.
